I had a little scare ...Thanks for the reminder, J.

I had a little scare myself this past weekend. A rather odd character on a bike got a little too friendly, then started shadowing me biking just ahead of me on the trail. When I slowed to a walk for a bit, he stopped and it seemed to me he was waiting for me to catch up. I didn't, of course. Instead, I turned on my heel and ran through the woods a short way to a neighbouring yard, stopping to explain to the startled homeowners outside what happened. They were lovely about it, of course.

I hate that I felt so scared, hate that I maybe jumped to a wrong conclusion about the guy on the trail, and hate that I spooked some nice folks by barrelling out of the woods the way I did - but I'm also proud that I listened to my gut and did what I needed to be and feel safe. You should be too.

Really glad the Beast was with you the other morning. Give him a pat on the head for me too.Jan Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01882825000995177531noreply@blogger.com
